The Safety Hub AFL Tipping Competition Terms and Conditions
- Eligibility: Entry is free and open to Australian residents only. Participants must be 16 years or older.
- Competition Period: The competition begins at the start of round 1 of the AFL and concludes at the end of round 24 of the AFL. Entries submitted outside this period will not be eligible.
- How to Enter: Entrants must follow The Safety Hub on their social media platforms and join the Rats Tips Competition through the provided ESPN link with an email. Email is needed to be provided to let the winners know of their prize. Entrants are required to submit their AFL tips as per the competition instructions to go in the draw.
- Prizes: Weekly prizes will be awarded based on individual round performance. The prize consists of x2 tickets to the 2024 AFL Preliminary Final. Flights and accommodation are not included. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable for cash. The person with the best margin from that week wins. The overall margin winner gets the grand prize after round 24 is complete. This will be announced on socials and via email.
- Selection of Winners: Weekly winners will be determined based on the highest points scored in each round. In the event of a tie for the grand prize, a draw will take place where the tied winners’ names will be placed into a hat, and John Platten will draw the winner.
- Winner Notification: Winners will be announced on The Safety Hub’s social media platforms and contacted via email. Winners must claim their prize within 30 days of notification to be valid.
- Liability: The Safety Hub is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, either caused by the entrant or for any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in this competition, or for any technical error, or any combination thereof that may occur in the course of the administration of this competition including any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line or telephone, mobile or satellite network failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.
- Privacy: Entrants’ personal information will be collected by The Safety Hub for the purpose of conducting and promoting this competition, including identifying and notifying winners.
- Disqualification: The Safety Hub reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age, and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process.
- Sponsorship: This giveaway is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with the AFL, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok, LinkedIn, or any other social network or platform.
- Warning Against Scammers: The Safety Hub will never ask for bank details or payment to claim a prize. Beware of scammers impersonating The Safety Hub.
- Final Decisions: By entering this competition, an entrant agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions. The Safety Hub’s decisions related to the competition and/or redemption of the prizes are final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into.
- Changes to the Competition: The Safety Hub reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice and if an event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside The Safety Hub’s control.
- Ticket Details: More details regarding the tickets, including seating and access, will be available from late September 2024. Ticket winners are responsible for their own travel and accommodation arrangements and costs.
